Turco & Co / UCO
A specification your technical team can assess.
A technical data sheet describes the proposed specification. A certificate of analysis reports results for an identified sample or lot. Both are useful, but they serve different purposes and must not be treated as interchangeable.

Download indicative TDS ↓| Parameter | Target |
|---|---|
| Free fatty acids (FFA)Mass fraction; fatty-acid basis and analytical method to be agreed | < 5% |
| Moisture, impurities & volatiles (MIV)Combined mass fraction; component methods to be agreed | < 1.5% |
| Sulphurmg/kg; laboratory method to be agreed | < 50 ppm |
| Iodine valueg I₂/100 g; method to be agreed | 50–70 |
Targets are not a certificate of analysis or a guarantee of available stock. Each lot requires representative sampling, an agreed test method and an independent certificate of analysis (CoA). Additional contaminants and acceptance limits follow the refinery specification.
Agree the analytical basis
Specify the method, units, sampling procedure and acceptance rule for each parameter. For free fatty acids, agree the reporting basis. For MIV, define how moisture, impurities and volatiles are measured and combined. Resolve method differences before comparing results.
Identify the sample and the lot
The inspection instructions should identify the cargo, sampling location, sampling time, container or seal references, sample handling and laboratory. A report without a clear link to the offered lot cannot by itself establish that the cargo meets the receiving specification.
Review refinery-specific contaminants
A buyer may require additional testing, for example for phosphorus, metals, chlorides, unsaponifiable matter or other process-sensitive contaminants. No universal acceptance limit is claimed here. The receiving refinery determines its additional requirements and the contract records them.
Keep sustainability metrics separate
The proposed GHG savings target above 83% concerns an eligible fuel pathway's lifecycle calculation. It must be supported by the applicable methodology and verified inputs. An oil sample's FFA or sulphur result cannot demonstrate a particular GHG saving.
