Sell used cooking oil in bulk: we buy export-ready UCO

We buy UCO. Collectors, aggregators and professional suppliers: if you can deliver, we want to see your offer. A clear introduction tells us at once whether the material fits a buyer requirement.

Sell your UCO

Where the material comes from

Introduce your company, your country and your role: collection, aggregation, processing or trading. Say where the oil sits and who holds it. Distinguish existing stock from volumes still to come.

Sell your UCO

What quality, what volumes

Monthly capacity, minimum shipment size, recent analyses if you have them. Our public specification is a first filter, not automatic acceptance. Separate what has been measured from what is estimated.

Sell your UCO

Where certification stands

If a certificate exists, say who holds it, which scheme, which activities and until when. If pieces are missing, say so. Entry into a certified chain is judged on the operators and the documents.

Sell your UCO

An export offer we can work

Origin, volume, specifications or a CoA, price, Incoterm, availability, packaging and the exporter. Add a sustainability certificate only if you hold one.

Sell your UCO

After your message

Send a concise offer. If it fits a requirement, we talk company, quality, sustainability, logistics and payment. First contact is not a qualification and not a purchase commitment.

Frequently asked questions

Who buys used cooking oil?

Industrial buyers: biodiesel and UCOME plants, HVO and SAF refineries, oleochemical sites, and trading houses including Turco & Co that buy from collectors and aggregators for export. Restaurants and small generators rarely sell directly into export; they usually supply a licensed collector. If you aggregate oil, buyers will ask who certified the collecting chain, how you store and filter, and whether you can load flexitanks or bulk at a port. Matching you with the right buyer is mostly about quality, volume rhythm, and whether your documentation fits EU, US, or Asian offtake.

How do I sell used cooking oil in bulk?

Start with a short factsheet: country and city of storage, average monthly tonnes available, how the oil is collected (restaurants, food industry, municipal), and your last lab results for FFA, moisture, impurities and volatiles (MIU), and sulphur if you have them. Add loading port or inland point, packing option (flexitank, ISO, bulk vessel), and whether your site or collector holds ISCC EU or another scheme certificate. Photos of storage and loading help when we have never visited the origin. We read the file, ask follow-up questions on contaminants or self-declarations, and either pass or propose a buying basis and inspection plan.

Do I need ISCC certification to sell UCO?

Only if your buyer needs certified waste feedstock for EU RED or similar markets. ISCC EU is commonly required from the first collecting point onward; points of origin such as restaurants sign self-declarations instead of holding a certificate. If you sell only into domestic industrial users with no sustainability claim, another scheme—or no scheme—may apply. Certification is site-specific: your aggregator can be certified while a new warehouse is not yet in scope. Send your current certificate scope, expiry, and certificate holder name so we do not mix up entities in the chain.

Can I sell small quantities of used cooking oil?

Export buyers typically work in container or parcel sizes. If you produce less than a container load per month, a local collector or aggregator is the practical first sale. Some collectors will pay on pickup; others blend small streams until they have an export lot. If you already bundle several generators into one tank farm and can load flexitanks, say so—volume adds up quickly across cities. We do not buy restaurant jerrycans; we buy lots that can be inspected, documented, and shipped on commercial terms.

How am I paid for my UCO?

Payment follows the contract: telegraphic transfer against scanned documents, transfer against original documents through the bank, or a documentary letter of credit if the buyer requires it. Timing is often after bill of lading date or after discharge and inspection, depending on risk allocation. Retention of title and quality claims are spelled out upfront—typically governed by the loading sample and agreed limits. Turco & Co does not ask suppliers for registration fees or paid document processing; if someone claims that in our name, it is not us.

Selling UCO to a trading house

Turco & Co buys used cooking oil from collectors, aggregators and traders, then sells it to industrial offtakers. Correspondence is handled from Dubai. The contracting entity is Startbiz LLC, SHAMS licence 2218328.01, Sharjah. We keep no tanks. A first message is useful when it says who holds the oil, where it sits, what has been measured, on what basis it can leave, and whether a sustainability certificate exists.

What a usable first offer contains

Present your company, your country and your role: collection, aggregation, processing or trading. Say where the oil is and who holds it. Distinguish stock already constituted from volumes still to come. Monthly volumes, the minimum shipment size and recent analyses, if you have them, let us see quickly whether the material can match a buyer's demand. Our public specifications are a first filter, not automatic acceptance. If a scheme certificate exists, say who holds it, which scheme, which activities and until which date. If papers are missing, say so. Entry into a certified chain is judged on operators and documents.

Estimated quality and measured quality

A typical free fatty acid or moisture figure is an estimate. It shows whether a sample is worth requesting. They do not describe a lot. A measured quality is a result tied to an identified volume, a sampling date, a method and, where applicable, a laboratory. If you have a recent certificate of analysis, say which lot it belongs to. Mixing estimate and measurement in one line forces everyone to guess. We prefer a short and exact offer.

An available stock is not a monthly programme

Stock already constituted and a collection activity that produces each month are two different offers. Spot oil can be inspected and sampled. A monthly quantity is a rhythm: it depends on the circuit, the season and what has already been promised elsewhere. Say which one you are sending. If both, separate them. A quantity per month that has never been exported is a plan, not a cargo. A tank that holds a known quantity today is a tank. The minimum shipment size belongs with the pace. Flexitanks, trucks and bulk cargo do not share the same floor. Say the smallest amount you can actually release, and on which window.

Packaging, and the Incoterm that matches the place

Oil in drums, in intermediate bulk containers, in a road tank or already nominated into a flexitank is not the same cargo. Packaging decides who can inspect, who can load and how the offtaker will receive. The Incoterm must match the real place of custody. EXW at a closed depot, FCA at a named terminal, FOB at a port that can take the equipment, CIF to a discharge port named by the buyer: each basis allocates freight, risk and documents differently. Name the place after the three letters. A price without a basis is not a price. Currency and unit, per metric tonne, stand beside it. Transport detail is then worked with the logistics of the operation.

Sustainability, and the first message

Professional buyers often ask for information on origin and traceability. If you have no certificate, say so clearly. A declared absence is more useful than a vague promise. A first message to the desk is neither a qualification nor a purchase. It is the opening of a file. If the material can match a demand, the conversation moves to company papers, quality, sustainability, logistics, then to payment. If you can describe custody, place, estimated or measured quality, rhythm, packaging, Incoterm and the certificate or its absence, write to the desk.
