Direct answer

Collection is the start of the UCO evidence trail. A buyer needs records that connect the source of used oil to collection, aggregation and the lot offered for sale. Collection geography alone does not prove quality, sustainability eligibility or available export volume.

Describe the source and material accurately

Record what type of activity generated the used oil and who collected it. Distinguish used cooking oil from other fats, oils and residues. A broad label such as “waste oil” is not precise enough for a buyer selecting a process feedstock.

The collection country, aggregation country and shipment loading country may differ. Keep these descriptions separate. A port name describes logistics and cannot by itself establish where the material originated.

Follow aggregation and transfers

A lot may combine multiple collection streams. Ask how source records, received quantities and dispatch records are linked and how transfers between operators are recorded. Keep lot identifiers legible across the supplier file.

For commercial screening, compare declared collection capacity, received quantities and the offered loading volume. Large unexplained differences merit investigation. This is a plausibility check, not an independent audit or proof of compliance.

Prepare the supply introduction

Explain the collector’s role, aggregation process, current quantity, location and available analysis. Where sustainability documentation is requested, involve the relevant operator and reviewer to determine the evidence needed. Turco & Co trades documented supply; this page does not offer a local household collection service.

  • Source activity and collector identified
  • Collection and loading countries distinguished
  • Receipts and transfers linked to lots
  • Offered quantity supported
  • Quality and required scheme evidence separated

Buyer questions

Is the loading port the UCO origin?

Not necessarily. Material can be collected in one location, aggregated elsewhere and shipped from another port.

Can restaurants contact Turco & Co for household collection?

The public offering is a commercial UCO trading desk. A documented commercial supplier introduction can be submitted; a local collection service is not advertised.

Sources and evidence

Primary references support the stated technical definitions. Procurement checklists are editorial guidance, not evidence of a specific lot, shipment or certification.

Confirm laboratory methods, commercial terms and applicable requirements with the buyer and qualified advisers before contracting. No guide establishes stock availability or company certification.
